Awesomely Fun | High School Senior Photos | Clayton, NC High School Senior Photographer

Hannah and I met at the BEST crossfit box around CrossFit Clayton!  This 2016 Corinth Holders grad is truly a talented athlete, whether she was on the track or lifting weights and doing WODs.  She also has a love for horses; so we decided that we should incorporate all her favorite things into her senior photo session.  Hannah’s session couldn’t have reflected her personality any better, not to mention her beauty!

Fall Family Photos | Fur Baby Too | Clayton, NC Family Photographer

Last November I had an amazing session with the Storms family.  We had the perfect location to toss the rugby ball around and have their fur baby Brownie join in on the fun.  I love when families include their pets into their session.  They become family members and we forget how short their time can be with us.  I absolutely loved how all their photos turned out.  So much of their personality and dynamics filled their session with fun, genuine smiles that truly reflected THEM!  (Check out the Breakfast Club fists in the air photo! )

Fall-icious Photos|Fun Family Photos|Clayton, NC Family Photographer

Nothing beats fall.  It has to be my favorite season.  The colors are beautiful, and we finally get relief from the oppressive heat and humidity that sometimes keeps us indoors!

The Hutchison family met me out on the greenway last November, where we did a little off-roading (walking) into the woods so we could play in the leaves and soak in some colors from the leaves!  Nothing beats a leaf fight among the kids and it did get quite comepetitive!

Beasley Family | Perfect Fall Night | Clayton, NC Family Photographer

With fall soon upon us, I’m feeling inspired by my sessions from last season!

The Beasley family met me out in the forest on a what was a perfect fall evening!  Perfect temperature and beautiful lighting!  Not to mention, a beautiful family!  Talk about coordinating their wardrobe to compliment our surroundings, they looked fantastic!  I’m so happy they were troopers with me as we walked to some of my favorite spots in the forest.

I can’t wait to do it all again!  Fall is one of my favorite seasons!

Itty Bitty | Christmastime Baby |Clayton, NC Newborn Photographer

Here is a Part II if you will from the Lloyd’s in-home, family, newborn lifestyle session.

If you’re wondering what “lifestyle” is when used in reference to photography; it is generally meaning candid, natural, and unposed.  Capturing life the way it is normally (somewhat).  For me, this is one of my favorites.  I love being able to look back and remember things the way they were in a nursery, or the little flick of hair on top of their head and how it just stuck up.  The fisted hands and puckered lips.

I tried “posed” newborn photography, and while I still arrange or pose a baby somewhat for newborn photos…the backdrops, props, endless outfits and the ridiculous amout of time wasted to try and get a baby to sleep looking like a frog, just wasn’t for me.

I choose to shoot only what I truly enjoy, and believe in doing so helps create those images that not only I love, but you will as well.

With that being said, enjoy part II of the Lloyd familys’ in home, lifestyle and newborn session.
