Clemons Forest| Family Photos | Clayton, NC Family Photographer

Back in October I had a wonderful family to photograph.  We had rescheduled a couple of times due to all the rain we had!  We were finally able to shoot on a sunny afternoon at Clemons Forest! Lots of walking and turtle watching happened, and I’m certain that we wore out little “G”.

I’ll be opening my schedule up to family sessions again soon for spring!  Please be sure to contact me to reserve a date!  I’d love to hear from you!

Making Memories | Lifestyle Family Session | Clayton, NC Family Photographer

I couldn’t have been more thrilled to have been asked to do a lifestyle session with the “T” family in their new home.  What better way to capture making memories in their new place.  We started off with a tea party, then onto jumping on beds, monkey piles, and taking a peek into the kids’ rooms.  So much energy and fun moments happened this day. I was also grateful that the family dog Jack was in so many of the photos because about a month later he went onto doggy heaven.  Thanks for allowing me to come be apart of your family for the day.  I hope we can do it again!

Ian|Clayton High School Senior 2016| Clayton, NC High School Senior Photographer

I had the opportunity to have some fun with Ian around Clayton this past fall.  From a casual natural setting, to checking out downtown, and then into his hockey gear; we had a TON of great photos that all reflected his personality and interests.  I’m sure Ian will go far with being a great student, singer/pianist, and hockey player!  Congrats on your upcoming graduation this spring Ian!

Jake | Clayton High School 2015 Senior | Clayton, NC Senior Photographer

Yes, yes, yes I know that I am WAY behind in updating my posts.

I had the privledge of photographing Jake at the end of his senior year 2015.  Earlier in the fall Jake had a cancer diagnosis and was in and out of treatments through-out the entire school year.  Luckily with treatments, prayers and perseverence Jake was able to pull off graduating, along with beating cancer!  Keep kicking ass Jake!

Last Days of Summer | Waterproof Camera Fun |Clayton, NC Family and Child Photographer

A couple of weekends ago we went down to Kure Beach and camped at Ft. Fisher.  We were even lucky enough to score our favorite campsite again.  It is the prime location for tent camping; away from other campers, right on the riverside, sandy, an amazing climbing tree, and a beautiful view of the sunset.

Anyways, before we left for our vacation to MN (which I still need to blog) I decided to buy a waterproof camera.  Nothing fancy, just something that I could take with canoeing in the boundary waters, fishing out in the boat or into the pool.  Well, our entire stay camping at the beach, I did not take out my Mark III.  Sometimes, it is more fun to be in the moment than worrying about your gear…in sand…sea air…saltwater… you get the picture.  So, I decided to have some fun with my girls on our last little hoo-rah before school starts with my little point and shoot, waterproof camera.  And I actually kinda love the results!  Imperfectly perfect, with water on the lens and all!

I hope ya’ll have enjoyed your summer!!! So here is a little taste of mine!
