Deep River Brewery & CrossFit Clayton | Couples Fun | Clayton, NC Couples Photographer

Jill and Damion are two of the most fun people I know.  We have done a few sessions together now.  But, I loved their openness to try something different at the brewery and they both suggested photos done at CFC!  Any time I can get really creative with a different scene always makes my job a little more challenging, exciting, and fun!  I like being able to capture such unique photos that reflect so much of their personalities!  Thank you both so very much for always trusting me to capture your photos! <3

2017 Year In Review | Historic Oak View Park | Clayton, NC Family Photographer

I absolutely LOVE how Ashley styled her family for their session at Historic Oak View Park. The yellows and greys were perfection!

We were supposed to have shot on a different day (probably a weekend if I remember correctly), but we got rained out and rescheduled for a weekday.  Which was PERFECT!  Because we pretty much had free reign while we were having our fun!  Little Violet definitely stole the show.  She had her baby along and she was such the little mama.  Her joy was so fun to capture.  I’m pretty sure that her age is one of my favorites to shoot.

2017 Year In Review | Clayton High School Class Of 2018 | Into The Woods Senior Photos | Clayton, NC Senior Photographer

For Hannah’s senior photos we ventured deep into their neighborhood woods via golf cart on some pretty rustic trails!  There were SO many pretty spots on our little adventure that I just HAD to stop and get photos it seemed at every bend on the trail!  Hence, why we didn’t make it to our downtown location on the same day like we had originally planned (whoopsies)!  So, keep your eyes peeled for a part 2 of Hannah’s senior photos that we took downtown, Clayton!  Hannah, of course, is absolutely stunning so it was without a doubt that her photos were going to be show stoppers!  We had amazing weather and perfect light!  It couldn’t have ended up more ideal!

2017 Year In Review | Yate’s Mill Fun | Clayton, NC Family Photographer

Catching up with my sessions from 2017 and we have the adorable Burtis family!  When planning their session Jenn specifically asked for Yate’s Mill for their location!  Jammed pack with beautiful spots to take photos we hit up almost every section of the park!  Unfortunately, poor Reagan was really fighting her asthma and allergies so we moved quickly!  I loved how open the Burtis family was to my ideas of whispering secrets, tickling each other and of course, the girls had to some running under a blanket!  No shortage of walking and some entry-level rock climbing went down during our time together! I’m glad we were able to have such a beautiful day for photos!

2017 Year In Review | Fit Family | Clayton, NC Family Photographer

How awesome is it when your clients want part of their session shot at CrossFit Clayton?!  Um, VERY!  I’m pretty certain that if there was a fit family competition that the Hutchison family would win.  With three kids in hockey, one in gymnastics, and all of them CrossFit you’d definitely have a run for your money!  Of course, we had to get those non-gym shots too so we made our way over to one of my FAVORITE places for the remainder of our session.  I’m not lying when I say this a million times, but I loved how the Hutchison family session turned out!  When clients totally embrace their uniqueness it truly shines in their photos!
