A New Family | Raleigh, NC Area Newborn Photographer

From shooting their maternity session to watching them grow + 1 with their baby girl, I loved seeing this family lovingly welcome their new addition.  For new parents it’s just about getting through those first few days of sleepless nights, diapers, spit ups, feedings…but for me it is all about capturing it as it all happens.  Those are the memories that are most cherished.  Without photos I have a terrible memory of things like these.  I wish that I had photos that would’ve captured these moments, but they are far and few between.  They don’t stay little forever…

Precious Newborn Lifestyle | Clayton, NC Newborn Photographer

Nothing is quite as precious as watching your baby sleep.  I still sneak into my now 7 and 4 year olds’ rooms to watch them sleep.  And even though this beauty didn’t really feel like sleeping for this portion of her photos, we decided to place her in her crib anyways.  I’ve always loved more of a documentary/lifestyle kind of photography, and these photos are some of my favorites.  Of course having such a beautiful new babes to capture always makes my job a complete joy anyways!

Strawberry Pickin’ | Garner, NC Child Photographer

My youngest daughter’s preschool class just enjoyed their Spring field trip to Smith’s Nursery and Produce Farm.  They had fun checking out the chickens, goats, donkey, learning about how bees made honey, and of course picking strawberries!

It was a little cooler than usual, but that didn’t stop my daughter from enjoying picking berries.  She was able to fill it FULL to the top!

Now, the photographer in me wishes that it had been overcast, or earlier in the morning so the lighting would’ve been perfect.  But, hey I did the best I could with the sun being full on top of us.

We have a few of our own strawberry plants that are in terracotta pots that are stacked on a shepherd’s hook. (I’ll have to post a photo of it later, it works perfectly!) Our girls LOVE having plants!  We have two peach trees, two blueberry bushes, a shepherds hook with herbs and strawberries in the pots, as well as a LARGE vegetable garden which we still need to plant this year.

Keep checking in for more personal posts about our gardening!

Daddy’s Baby Girl | Seymour Johnson AFB Newborn Photographer

There is something special between dads and their little girls.  I’m sure it’s one of the few times that it is truly love at first sight.

I loved capturing those little moments.  The snuggles, the yawns, and the kisses.  It is great to have proof (or even black mail for her wedding day), of how tiny and precious she is.  You can see how grand this dad’s love is for his lil’ girl.

If you are expecting and would like to set up a session consultation or have any questions please contact me!  I’d love to hear from you!  I’m having a “Secret Spring Special” until May 15th.  But, you have to email me to find out what it is!  You don’t want to miss out!!

A Peek In On A Newborn Beauty | Raleigh, NC Area Newborn Photographer

I finally was able to make a return trip to Charlotte to capture some somewhat newborn photos of this beautiful lil’ baby girl!  At almost a month old she is still itty bitty, and not a drop of preciousness was spared.

My vision for my newborn photography has taken a different route from my previous newborn sessions.  I have found my love for lifestyle photography and it fits “ME” as a photographer.  I love to be able to document the little things as you would remember them.  As much as I love a “posed” shot with a background and props (which I’ll still incorporate 2 or 3 shots of), the majority of my newborn work/sessions will be strictly lifestyle.

Here is ONE set of photos from the series from this beautiful baby girl’s session.  Keep checking back here for MORE photos to this session.

If you are expecting, know someone who is please have them contact me about arranging a consultation!  I have a secret spring special going on now until the 15th of May! But, you MUST message me to find out what it is!  I look forward to hearing from you!
